Christmas Break

Over Christmas break I am going to Las Vegas. Me and my family are going on a family trip just because she wants to. I asked for shoes and money for Christmas, but honestly I may not get anything. Over the break I am going to work out and play basketball to get better! I hope to have my friend come with me so we can all play one big basketball game. My cousin is coming over my house to open his presents. That is all that I am doing for my Christmas break.





 

College

By going to college I hope to obtain a degree in mechanical engineering. I'm going to college for myself so I can create opportunities for myself in life. The Characteristics that are most important in choosing a college is if they specialize in your major. I would seek advice from my cousin. I would get advice from her because she is the one only in my family to go to college on my mom side of the family. To be an engineer you have to go through 2-4 years of college.So without going to college I can't go be what I want to be !

Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving I am going to New Orleans ! I have no family down there just going to go . Me, my mom, my cousin , my aunt , my granny , and my great aunt are all flying down there next Wednesday. Honestly I don't know where we are going to eat. I don't mind though I never eat anyway on thanksgiving. I hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving!

JOB BLOG

I found an application for braums in desoto. All I would do is take order and tell them their approximate wait until their order is ready. Also it is part time not full time which is good because i play basketball. This job is appropriate for students like me because it isn't overwhelming and very easy, it's not like you are doing man-oral labor or anything like that. To prepare for an interview  need to buy some more presentable clothes. I need to also get a good haircut so I won't  look bad. It was very difficult trying to find a job online. Some of the ones I look at were scams ! That made me try harder to find nice jobs that are close by me. I have transportation which helps my situation more so I would be able to get to work on time and constantly. I honestly think I would enjoy this job because I would be earning money so that I would not have to ask my mom for money. Also I rather go search for a job instead of searching online because it's just more accurate.

HOMELESS TO HARVARD

During the movie I was thinking what I would do if that was me. If it was me I honestly would not know what to do! Hopefully I would be able to do the same as her and be able to get an good education. My favorite part of the movie was when she was going to school and getting good grades. It was my favorite part of the movie she was turning her life around. I'm not sure if I would be resilient or not because I would be trying my harder to forget the past.

I expected my budget to be tight on money because I get paid $10 an hour. I didn't expect for college to be a place where I would probably need two jobs for more income. I do not think I am ready for the responsibility of college. The realizations were that when you go to college your parents can't take care of you. I will start having a college saving so I will have a little side money in my pocket plus my pay check.

The number one career I want to pursue is engineering. I was to be an mechanical engineer or an technological engineer. What made me interested in the career is when I was little I said wanted to build things. My grandfather was an construction worker and he told me engineers make the things that he builds. Over time I have done research and have thought about this career very hard. I think i will and would enjoy being an engineer.

I have received an 11 out of 24 on my stress quiz. The test said that"   You've got your life in fairly good control. Work on the choices and habits that could still be causing you some unnecessary stress in your life." What I can do to relieve stress is let go of unnecessary habits and choice of thing that I do. To relieve stress I play basketball and I go ride my skateboard around a school by my house and on a tennis court.Also I listen to music to calm down and just chill. Those things help me because it takes my mind off of things that I worry about.

My organization method is to keep all of my papers and separated in folders in a big binder. This works because I know where all my work is. Procrastination does hurt because it puts more pressure on you if you haven't done your work yet. To fight procrastination I should do my work in my 1 hour a day study period at home.

In this class I want to earn a lot of scholarship money so I can go to a great college. The colleges I would like to attend are very expensive. I also would like to learn how to get colleges to want me on their roster. I would like to attend TCU , Baylor university , UNT , Louisville university. I would like to go to more, but i do not feel like listing them all. I'm from Dallas ,TX I want to at least stay in Texas for my first year of college.
